This Schere comprises the construction of

An Earth Dam with a cement concrete and Whampoa rud to impound 1,200 Million Galions.

Duplicating the rising main from the Pumping Station (now in course of construction) to the gauge-basin Tytan Dar.

Laying an additional suction main from the earth dam to the Pumping Station.

Taking up and relaying as a rising main that portion of the suction main track (laid for the Tytar Tux Scheme 1st. Section) which will become useless.

Enlarging the Pumping Station to accommodate two more engines and pumps each capable of lifting two million gallons a day.

Diversion of the Shaukiwan Moad and connecting up this diversion to the main road (now being constructed) from the Pumping Station to fytam reservoir.

A coffer das across the Eay clear of the jar site to-

gether with all the temporary works to deal with the

normal and flood discharges of the strears draining

Into the Bay.

The only real difficulty is to arrange for the

draining of the dam site.

It appears probable from the trial wells and

borings that a coffer dam of simple construction will efficiently

deal with the sea water but there is apart from this, a very

large quantity of store water from the streams, to be dealt with?

The total catchment area above the dar site is
